Area Child Learning Centers Receive 5 Star Rating
The YoungStar program, established in November 2010, was created to help improve the quality of child care in Wisconsin by evaluating and rating providers, setting consistent standards throughout the state and providing parents with information for selecting a childcare provider. Centers are rated from 1 to 5 stars based on education qualification and training, learning environment, business practices and overall child health and well-being practices, with a 5 star rating being the best. Recently, Senator Harsdorf had the opportunity to visit KinderCare Learning Center in Hudson, one of two centers in the 10th Senate district to receive a 5 star rating. The Child and Family Study Center in Menomonie also received a 5 star rating. Congratulations to these centers on their commitment to excellence in child care.
