Apply to Design Ornaments for Wisconsin’s National Christmas Tree
Every year, the Governor chooses an artist to collaborate with a youth arts class or program to create ornaments which will be displayed on Wisconsin’s National Christmas Tree in Washington D. C. Governor Walker will be accepting artists’ applications from now until Thursday, September 25th, for those interested in applying to create this year’s ornaments. To apply, artists should submit the following information to firstname.lastname@example.org: name of artist/art teacher, email, phone number, mailing address, brief description of artistic background and training, school partner or class that will produce the ornaments, and brief description of design idea (optional).
Once selected, the art teacher or artist, along with the youth group or class, will be working with the National Park Foundation to begin the design process. Examples of last year’s designs can be found by clicking here. Good luck!
