2012 Wolf Hunt Rules Approved by Natural Resources Board
The Wisconsin Natural Resources Board recently approved the emergency wolf hunt rules in a unanimous vote. The board approved a quota of 201 wolves to be harvested during the first hunting season. The season will run from October 15th, 2012 through February 28th, 2013. Hunters will be eligible to receive a wolf harvest permit in a drawing during the first year; unsuccessful hunters will be awarded a preference point for future drawings. Permit applications may be purchased for $10 at any license vendor, online, or by telephone. The license fee for those selected to receive a permit is $100 for Wisconsin residents and $500 for nonresidents.
