Northwoods League Baseball 2017: Dock Spiders & Chinooks

Although we are over a month into the regular season, many opportunities remain to check out the Northwoods League action at two of the top baseball venues in the state! The Chinooks of Mequon and the Dock Spiders of Fond du Lac will play through the middle of August, with the divisional playoffs and league championship series taking place shortly thereafter. The Northwoods League was founded in 1994 as an organization of collegiate summer baseball teams. The league has since expanded to feature 18 teams, comprised of some of the best college talent from across the country. The regular season schedule consists of 72 games, which are played over a 76-day span running from late May to mid-August. This rigorous schedule mirrors the structure found at the minor league level, making the Northwoods League an ideal destination for any player seeking to prepare themselves for professional play.
