MADISON – Sen. Howard Marklein (R-Spring Green) made the following statement following the announcement that Sen. Pat Testin (R-Stevens Point) and Sen. Eric Wimberger (R-Green Bay) have been appointed to serve on the Joint Committee on Finance (JFC): “Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu’s appointments of Sen. Testin and Sen. Wimberger to the JFC adds new perspectives and a breadth of experience to our Senate finance team. I am excited to welcome these two members to our committee. Sen. Testin brings private sector, business experience to our conversation while Sen. Wimberger will add a background in the law and military service to our team. I am confident that they will bring unique perspectives and ideas as we begin to work on the next state budget. Many thanks to Sen. Duey Stroebel (R-Saukville), Sen. Joan Ballweg (R-Markesan) and Sen. Mary Felzkowski (R-Tomahawk) who will continue to serve on this committee. Their work on the last budget was extraordinary and I am fortunate that they have all agreed to continue serving on this important committee.”
