Sen. Howard Marklein Announces Legislative Listening Sessions

Madison, WI — State Senator Howard Marklein (R-Spring Green) today announced listening sessions for January 2017.

“As the new legislative session begins on January 3, 2017, I have scheduled a series of 10 listening sessions throughout the 17th Senate District. All residents of the 17th Senate District are invited and encouraged to attend,” Marklein said. “If you are unable to attend a session, but would like to share your input, do not hesitate to contact me directly.”

Representative Ed Brooks, Representative Todd Novak and Representative Travis Tranel are planning to participate in the sessions that are in their corresponding districts.

The format for the listening sessions is designed so that every attendee has equal time to share their ideas and thoughts in a respectful environment. Depending on the number of attendees, participants may be asked to sign-up for a three minute time slot to be certain to give as many attendees the chance to speak as possible. Legislative staff will be on hand to coordinate each listening session to maximize audience participation and input.
