Senator Olsen with Governor Scott Walker as AB 74 is signed into law, which is a bill that will give all schools the ability to use online instruction for driver’s education courses.
Almost 720,000 meals are served to students across Wisconsin daily, adding up to approximately 125 million meals served each year. AB 37 will help lower those odds by ensuring food service administrators are educated about health risks associated with food preparation.
Senator Olsen with members of the Wisconsin Register of Deeds Association, Representative Ballweg, Representative Born, and Senator Wanggaard for AB 82 being signed into law by the governor. This bill helps update our state laws for the Register of Deeds across our local communities.
SB 94 resolves a regulatory issue that was brought to Senator Olsen and Representative Keith Ripp by our constituents in the campground industry, and will help Wisconsin capitalize on new opportunities for camping units.
This summer Senator Olsen served as the Chair for the 2014 Legislative Council Study Committee on the Student Achievement Guarantee in Education (SAGE) Program. Following the Study Committee, SB 32 increases the flexibility for schools in the SAGE program by offering evidence-based instructional alternatives, which allows schools to use additional proven ways to reduce the achievement gap among their students.
