Senator Fitzgerald Applauds Wisconsin’s Improved Business Outlook
Chief Executive Magazine lauds “Wisconsin’s business-friendly leadership”
[Madison, WI] Today, Chief Executive Magazine released their annual list of the Best and Worst States for Business. The list placed Wisconsin at twelfth, an improvement of two spots from the previous year and a jump of twenty-nine spots from 2010.
Among the factors cited as contributors to Wisconsin’s improved outlook, the group listed the recent implementation of Right to Work legislation as a key “development trend indicator,” and stated, “CEOs are confident in Wisconsin’s business-friendly leadership. They say that low taxes and minimal regulations are creating significant new business investment opportunities.”
Senator Scott Fitzgerald (R-Juneau) released the following statement:
“I am thrilled to see that Wisconsin is continuing to rise in nationwide rankings of statewide business climate. This additional increase over last year’s position is just another indicator that business leaders are increasingly looking to Wisconsin as an attractive place to move and create jobs.
The fact that the recent implementation of Workplace Freedom legislation was listed as a significant factor in Wisconsin’s improved outlook demonstrates that this key reform is already having a positive impact in Wisconsin.”
