Applications for the program are due by January 3, 2016, and applicants will be notified of their acceptance within the month. The Senate Scholar Program is open to Wisconsin high school students aged 16-18, as well as qualified individuals who are homeschooled.
Students in the program will be invited to participate in a wide range of experiences including policy development, constituent relations, and crafting legislation. Participants will work with Senators, legislative staff, and University of Wisconsin faculty and attend events taking place within the legislature during their respective sessions.
