(MADISON) – State Senator Patty Schachtner (D-Somerset) has been appointed to three committees for the 2019-2020 legislative session.

Senator Schachtner, a lifelong western Wisconsin resident, previously served as a school board member, town supervisor, and director of a local chamber of commerce. Since being sworn-in in February 2018, she has visited 16 of the senate district’s 19 school districts and met with key faculty and staff at UW-Stout, UW-River Falls, and WITC-New Richmond. “These committee appointments will allow me to share what working people have told me they want from their state government. I look forward to advocating on behalf of our region’s working families, children, and small business owners.”
