The Kinnickinnic River Land Trust has introduced “Kinni Cams” to stream river conditions

Purpose behind the lens:

To provide animated and still photo updates relating to the changing nature of the river which will give kayakers, fishermen, and nature enthusiasts an online resource with real time images.


  • Camera views: (updated hourly)

    • Camera 1: 
      • creates a view of the width of the river as well as the shore.
      • Dave the director of the Kinni Land River Trust says, “We hope the photos in conjunction with the stream flow record, will help folks have better and safer experiences on the river" (River Falls Journal).
    • Camera 2: 
      • provides a better glimpse into the river clarity/quality to fishermen and recreational users
      • aimed at a “Senchi Disk” which is anchored 12 inches below the surface to provide another perspective of the river and look more in depth at the water clarity.
