Resist Hate

There has been an alarming escalation of violence and hate speech aimed at people based on their ethnic, racial, or religious backgrounds. Our Arab and Muslim neighbors, and those perceived as Muslims, have unfairly received the brunt of these violent and hateful acts.

We call on Wisconsin’s elected officials to denounce Islamophobia, discrimination, and violence by immediately passing the Joint Resolution to Resist Hate (LRB−0234). Further we call on the Trump administration and Republican legislators to immediately restore the American democratic values of justice, inclusion, and fairness by rejecting language and policies targeting people based on their faith.
