Wisconsin Assembly to introduce PTSD bill
By Seehafer News
A local Wisconsin Assemblyman is introducing a new bill which will reduce the number of barriers public safety first responders must hurdle to receive treatment for clinically diagnosed Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Andre Jacque of De Pere is the lead man on LRB 3571/1, which will change the conditions of liability for workers compensation benefits, which will make it easier for first responders that suffer from PTSD to get the treatment the both need and deserve. PTSD is a condition that most people attribute to soldiers returning from war, but it can happen to anyone that goes through a traumatic event, and first responders face those whenever they get a call.
