MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) - On the same day as the State of the State address, The Wisconsin State Assembly has passed a bill that would force health insurers to cover pre-existing conditions.
The bill -- which was co-authored by State Senator Andre Jacque -- passed 76-19 and will now be moved to the Senate. Before the bill was called to a vote, Republicans added the elimination of annual and ifetime limits of coverage, which was requested by Governor Tony Evers.
The measure wil be discussed by the Senate next week, but it is unclear if it will make it to the governor's desk.
