Permanency for Children in Foster Care

Compiled by Eileen Snyder, August 2012

Return to Tap the Power Page

When a child is placed in foster care or other out-of-home care, it is important that a permanent home is established as soon as possible for the child, whether that means adoption by a new family or a return to the child's original family. The Wisconsin Legislative Council has established a Special Committee on Permanency for Young Children in the Child Welfare System to address some of these issues. This bibliography presents resources about foster care, with a focus on permanency.
