We performed a financial audit of the State of Wisconsin’s fiscal year 1997-98 general purpose financial statements, which are included in the State’s comprehensive annual financial report. We qualified our audit opinion because, in our judgment, it is not possible to obtain sufficient evidence to support the State of Wisconsin’s disclosures with respect to the year 2000 issue, which are required under generally accepted accounting principles.
