WISCONSIN JOB MARKET

More great news for Wisconsin's economy this week! According to the latest annual Gallup ranking of state job markets, our great state is tied with Texas and Nebraska, only second to North Dakota.

Wisconsin's ranking has been on the rise since 2011:

2014- 2nd place

2013- 9th place

2012- 14th place

2011- 20th place

This trend really shows just how much Wisconsin is moving in the right direction.

LISTENING SESSIONS

I wanted to give a big thank you to all those who came out to the listening sessions in Fox Lake, Lodi, and DeForest this week! Senator Olsen, Rep. John Jagler, and I really appreciate all the feedback we received and look forward to working with our districts as we make our way through the budget process.

Please reach out to us if you have any thoughts, questions, or concerns about the budget or any other legislative proposal. It's so important that we hear from you!

RIGHT TO WORK

In the next two weeks, the Senate and the Assembly will be discussing a Right to Work proposal for Wisconsin. If you have any thoughts on the issue, please feel free to respond to this email or contact my office.

A-TEAM VISIT

This week we had a great visit from the A-Team from Northwoods in Portage, WI. The A-team is a great advocacy group for people with disabilities, especially in the workplace, and I am always happy to visit with them and support them.

WINTER VACATIONS

Winter is great time to travel to summer destinations at a discounted price if you're on a budget. Here's a great site from the Department of Tourism if you're looking to get out of the house for a few days.
