Wisconsin Workforce Partnership Grant

MADISON - State Representative Joan Ballweg (R- Markesan) congratulates Moraine Park Technical College in Fond Du Lac for receiving over $700,000 in grant money. The money will be used to provide specific training necessary to create new jobs at businesses including Brenner Tank, John Crane Orion, Amerequip Corporation and Mid-States Aluminum Corporation

This grant money will establish training for both machine operation and welding training in a 15-week format. The training will result in either an Entry Level Welding Certificate or a Computer Numerical Control Machine Operator Certificate.

“With this partnership, the companies expect to fill over 100 new positions with skilled workers,” states Ballweg, “Thank you to the Wisconsin Covenant Foundation Inc., the Wisconsin Technical College System and Governor Walker for working together to create the Wisconsin Workforce Partnership Grant program.”
