Rep. Hutton Sworn into Office

Rob Hutton is the Representative of the 13th Assembly district. His district includes the Town of Brookfield, the Village of Elm Grove, part of the City of Brookfield, part of the City of West Allis and part of the City of Wauwatosa. On January 7th, 2013, Rep. Hutton was sworn into office.
“I am excited to take office today to represent the 13th Assembly District,” said Representative Hutton. “I am glad to have this opportunity to take on the issues Wisconsin faces and continue improving our state’s economy so that we can keep moving Wisconsin forward under the leadership of Governor Scott Walker.”
Rep. Hutton has spent several years as an executive and business owner in the transportation and logistics field.
For the past 7 years, Rob served as a Supervisor on the Waukesha County Board. As Supervisor, Rob brought his business perspective in an effort to reduce taxes and eliminate government waste. He has a proven track record in voting against wasteful spending. In the Fall of 2012, Rob was elected to represent the 13th District for the Wisconsin State Assembly.
Rob serves on the following committees during the current legislative session:
• Government Operations & State Licensing
• Small Business Development
• Urban and Local Affairs (Vice Chair)
• Urban Education
 

Rep. Hutton Co-Authors "Mining for Jobs Bill"

Representative Hutton has signed on as one of the co-authors to the “Mining for Jobs” bill. SB1 is expected to have an economic impact of $1.5 billion and create thousands of good family sustaining jobs. “We expect to see thousands of family sustaining jobs created state wide, including the south eastern part of the state,” said Rep. Hutton. “This bill will have an impact on businesses like Caterpillar, Joy Global and hundreds of small firms throughout our state.”

There have been many concerns with the proposed legislation and its effects it may have on the environment. Rep. Hutton said “ I am confident that the proposed legislation will hold to our strict environmental standards while allowing us to use our abundance of natural resources.”

In short, the proposed bill does not change any air quality standards, water quality standards, ground water standards, or drinking water standards. If you do have any other concerns regarding the mining legislation please make sure to contact Rep. Hutton’s office.
 

Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Ranked #4 in the Nation

The Children's Hospital of Wisconsin has been ranked #4 in the nation according to a survey done by the magazine "Parents."

Representative Rob Hutton of the 13th Assembly district, where the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin resides, had this to say, "Southeastern Wisconsin is fortunate to have world class medical facility dedicated to meeting the unique medical needs of children everywhere."

The survey conducted ranked each of their six specialty divisions in the top ten. One of these divisions is their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit which ranked #1 in the nation. Below is a link to Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's article on the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.
