Bipartisan group of 31 legislators urge state health secretary to
support federal health grants
 
Madison—Today, Rep. Jon Richards (D-Milwaukee) and 30 of his colleagues sent this letter to state Health Secretary Dennis Smith expressing their disappointment in his decision to not pursue or support over $9 million in federal health grants this year that would have helped fight drug and alcohol abuse and expanded health care access in Wisconsin. 
 
The bipartisan group of Representatives and Senators strongly urged Secretary Smith to aggressively pursue federal abuse prevention and health care access grants in the future.
