Dear Neighbor,
I’d like to draw your attention to two items on this week’s calendar and share some tips on how to stay cool this week.
Legislative RedistrictingThis week the legislature will likely be voting on the Republican’s proposed new legislative district maps. The Senate is expected to vote on the redistricting plans Tuesday, with the Assembly following suit on either Wednesday or Thursday. Here’s a link with more information on the plans:

Save the Hoan Town Hall Meeting
This Thursday, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, I am hosting a neighborhood meeting with Rep. Christine Sinicki, Sen. Chris Larson and state transportation officials to discuss the current status of the Hoan Bridge and future reconstruction plans. It will be held in the Beulah Brinton Cafeteria Room, 2555 South Bay Street, in Bay View. DOT officials will be available to answer any of your questions about the Hoan Bridge reconstruction. I hope to see you there!
