A mining bill was unveiled today at a State Capitol news conference. It would streamline Wisconsin’s mine permitting process and was written specifically for an out-of-state mining company that wants to build an open pit iron mine in Northern Wisconsin.

I recently started holding regular “office” hours for constituents at coffee houses on the East Side, Downtown and in Bay View. So far, I have had coffee with constituents at Sven’s Café in Bay View and Brewed Café on Brady Street. Bella Caffe will be my third scheduled coffee house stop. Stay tuned for future announcements.
