REP. NYGREN COMMENDS ANSUL-TYCO COMPANY ON GRAND OPENING
Tax credits fuel job growth, secure company’s investment in Marinette

Marinette -  Ansul-Tyco Fire Suppression and Building Products Company held a ribbon-cutting today for its recently completed $10 million dollar research and development “Center of Excellence.”  The project includes a new 35,000 square foot engineering building along with renovation and expansion of existing testing laboratories, training and marketing facilities.

State Representative John Nygren (R-Marinette) congratulates Ansul-Tyco on the completion of its new engineering center.  “I commend the Ansul-Tyco Company for making this significant investment,” said Nygren.  “This project clearly demonstrates their renewed commitment to being a leading employer in Marinette.”

Aiding the project was an $837,000 tax credit from the Wisconsin Economic Development Tax Credit program.  Rep. Nygren believes this to be a worthwhile investment that has paid off in the form of job creation and economic activity.  “Tax incentives secured the expansion, allowing Ansul-Tyco to retain hundreds of jobs and create new employment opportunities,” said Nygren.

Additionally, Rep. Nygren believes Ansul-Tyco’s investment in research and development holds great promise for the state.  “The research and development industry drives innovation in our state, and is a key component of economic growth.”

Earlier this year, the state legislature passed Special Session Assembly Bill 4, providing an additional $25 million for the successful Economic Development Tax Credit program.  “I am proud to have voted for this pro-jobs legislation during the January Special Session,” Nygren said. “The Ansul-Tyco Company’s use of the economic development tax credit serves as a great example of why these type of initiatives work.  Moving forward, we’ll continue to identify effective job creation programs and promote them in order to bolster Wisconsin’s workforce.”

State Representative John Nygren represents Wisconsin’s 89th Assembly District, serving portions of Marinette, Oconto, Brown, and Shawano counties.
