Bipartisan Isabella's Law Approved Unanimously by Assembly Committee
RACINE – Today, the Assembly Committee on Criminal Justice unanimously voted to support Assembly Bill 190, known as “Isabella’s Law,” authored by State Representatives Thomas Weatherston (R-Caledonia) and Cory Mason (D-Racine).

Rep. Mason Statement in Response to News of UW Surplus
MADISON – State Representative Cory Mason (D-Racine) issued the following statement in response to the Legislative Fiscal Bureau report issued today which shows that the University of Wisconsin System has a balance of nearly $650 million:

Rep. Cory Mason, D-Racine, said it was only fair to broaden the new penalties because those who apply for the earned income tax credit and homestead credits are typically poor and elderly. The committee approved the change on a unanimous vote.

"You are really gutting the stewardship program as we know it," he said. "This is a radical departure for the stewardship program from what we have seen in the past."
Wisconsin Radio Network: New Oversight Proposed For WEDC
State Representative Cory Mason (D-Racine) argued the agency should be forced to go back and show how state dollars have been used so far and questioned how Republicans could propose “spending another nickel on WEDC, until we know that it works."
Racine Journal Times: Preliminary OK For Harbor Funds
Spurred by state Rep. Cory Mason, D-Racine, the Legislature’s Joint Finance Committee voted Tuesday to add $700,000 to the state budget for dredging the basin, putting a big dent in the county’s share of the cost.
