Rep. Loudenbeck Applauds Capital Brewery Green Tier Status
Attends Ceremony today to welcome Capital Brewery into Green Tier

Madison, WI…Representative Amy Loudenbeck (R-Clinton) is pleased to welcome Capital Brewery as the newest business to achieve Green Tier status in the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ Green Tier program. She is attending the celebratory event at Capital Brewery in Middleton today.

“As a member of the Green Tier Advisory Board, I have the opportunity to help the DNR work with businesses to promote environmental excellence and voluntarily grow their green bottom line. Capital Brewery is the latest example of a business in Wisconsin benefiting from the ideas, ideals, and advantages of being a Green Tier participant,” said Loudenbeck.

Green Tier provides real value to businesses that voluntarily go above and beyond environmental compliance with the intention of producing measurable improvements in our air, water, and land quality. This program revolutionizes how the DNR and businesses can work together to protect the environment while helping businesses operate more efficiently.

Wisconsin’s Green Tier Law unleashes the potential of the regulated community to protect the environment and grow the economy.
It provides several incentives such as regulatory flexibility and permit streamlining to environmentally responsible businesses and other entities. The law also creates a program in which qualified businesses and associations make legal commitments to superior environmental performance through contracts negotiated with the DNR. In exchange, these businesses get flexibility in how they achieve their environmental goals.
