Kuglitsch, Assembly Pass Castle Doctrine Legislation
AB 69 ensures Wisconsinites the ability to protect and secure homes, automobiles
Madison--Last night Representative Mike Kuglitsch (R-New Berlin) issued the following statement after the Wisconsin Assembly passed Assembly Bill 69, the privilege of self-defense, otherwise known as the “Castle Doctrine:
“Today was a great day for the law-abiding citizens of this State. Not only is today the first day of many in which Wisconsinites can feel fully protected with the implementation of the concealed carry law, but now the legislature has granted citizens their inherent right to be safe and protect their own homes, vehicles, or places of businesses. I am pleased that this legislation passed with such large bipartisan support tonight and I look forward to continue my work to keep our neighbors protected across the state.”
AB 69 passed with a bipartisan vote of 71-24.
