Pierce and St. Croix Post Wisconsin's Lowest Unemployment
The declining unemployment rates across the state offer the best evidence that the legislature's jobs initiative is working for Wisconsin. Of specific significance to the 30th District is that Pierce Co. and St. Croix Co. were #1 and #2 counties for employment. It is great to see that our counties are at the lead as the state begins to move in the right direction.

As I referenced in the video blog, check the websites linked below to get the numbers on our economic reforms. The 30th District has already seen a positive impact and the "Reforms & Results" and "It's Working Wisconsin" sites will provide updated information as we move forward.
Concealed Carry Permits Available Through DOJ
This week marked the first day the Wisconsin Department of Justice began accepting concealed carry permits. As of the early afternoon, over 80,000 had applied.
AAA Texting and Driving Simulator Heads to HHS
I recently had the opportunity to test drive the AAA Texting and Driving Simulator at the state capitol before it heads to Hudson High School to teach safe driving habits. The simulator provided great awareness of the dangers of texting and driving and I know it will be a valuable learning experience for both students and staff at HHS. Look for the display to arrive at the beginning of December.
