Inaguration 316.jpgChris is married to his wife Cari. They reside in Delafield with their two daughters, have lived in Waukesha County their entire adult life, and are members of Elmbrook Church.
 
Representative Chris Kapenga is Owner and President of a technology company with offices in Milwaukee, San Antonio, San Diego, and San Francisco. In addition, he has owned several other businesses and worked for Arthur Anderson and GE Medical Systems.
 
In Chris's earliest years he found that common sense, hard work, and your word were vital components to success. He also found that "In God We Trust" was more than a motto printed on our currency. Chris utilizes these valuable lessons in his public and private life. Through his business, he has mentored inner city youth on proper work habits and business etiquette.  He also led several youth groups with his wife Cari. They enjoy educating the next generation on ethics, responsibility, and accountability. He feels that making an impact begins with taking action.  
 
First elected in 2010, Chris is now serving his third term in the State Assembly. As a Certified Public Accountant, he is a member of the CPA Caucus. He was also twice elected to serve as Co-President of the Assembly of State Legislatures, a national state legislative organization focused on states’ rights under the Constitution 
 
This session, Chris is serving on the following committees: Committee on Constitution and Ethics (Chair), Committee on Public Benefit Reform (Vice-Chair), Committee on Financial Institutions, Committee on Health, and Committee on Labor.As a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, Chris has earned the following awards:
