Jorgensen Announces February Listening Sessions

MADISON – State Representative Andy Jorgensen (D-Fort Atkinson) today announced his schedule of planned listening sessions for February.  Jorgensen has held hundreds of these informal meetings – often referred to as “Andy Is In” - in restaurants and municipal buildings throughout Jefferson and Dane Counties each month for the past five years.

“I consider it a great privilege to represent my friends and neighbors in our State Capitol, and take my responsibility to vote on their behalf very seriously.  To do my job well, I must understand the views of my constituents,” said Jorgensen.  “These listening sessions give people an opportunity to share their perspectives without traveling to Madison or having to put them in writing.”

Rep. Jorgensen recently adjusted his listening schedule to include more weekend and evening opportunities for constituents to meet with him.  In February, he will be “in” at the following locations and times:

Tuesday, February 7th at 7:00 p.m.
Albion Town Hall
620 Albion Road, Edgerton

Tuesday, February 14th at 12:30 p.m.
Jefferson Senior Center
859 Collins Road, Jefferson

No appointment is needed to meet with Rep. Jorgensen during his listening sessions.  If you have a suggestion for a listening session location or time – or if you want to schedule a one-on-one meeting – you are urged to call, toll-free, (888) 534-0037 or email rep.jorgensen@legis.wi.gov.

Watch for updates on upcoming listening sessions in your newspaper and on Jorgensen’s website, http://legis.wisconsin.gov/assembly/jorgensen.
