Hintz Statement on Repealing the Healthy Youth Act
Representative Hintz issued the following statement after the Assembly Committee on Education voted down party lines to repeal the Healthy Youth Act, "I am deeply disappointed with my colleagues on the Education Committee. Wisconsin is not a Petri dish for right wing social experiments. We should expect decisions to be made in the best interest of public health, not to appease interest groups such as Wisconsin Family Action who authored this bill.”

A trio of Fox Valley Democrats — state Sen. Jessica King of Oshkosh, state Rep. Penny Bernard Schaber of Appleton and state Rep. Gordon Hintz of Oshkosh — penned a letter on Tuesday to DHS Secretary Dennis Smith asking him to renew the contract.
