MADISON – State Representative Jason Fields (D-Milwaukee) in July recognized four local Milwaukee businesses for their outstanding contributions to fostering economic growth and creating local community partnerships.
“I am pleased to recognize partnerships in economic growth and community involvement by presenting the first Annual Business Community Collaboration Awards to these businesses. Their commitment to the Milwaukee community, through their cooperation with surrounding businesses and their efforts to form community partnerships make these businesses invaluable to the Milwaukee community,” stated Rep. Fields.
The four Milwaukee area businesses recognized this year, Genco Pharmaceutical Services Inc., Newkirk’s Service Station, Pereles Brothers Inc., and Strattec Security Corp., forged partnerships with the Silver Spring Neighborhood Center, Multicultural Community Services Inc., the Havenwoods Economic Development Corp., and the Agape Community Center respectively. Each business has proven engagement with the Milwaukee Community by way of kind accommodations and community support.
“It is imperative that these collaborative efforts continue between the public and private sectors to enhance the quality of life for all Milwaukee residents,” said Rep. Fields. “I hope to encourage additional partnerships with this initiative and look forward to presenting the 11th Assembly District’s 2nd annual Business Community Collaboration Awards next year. It is with ongoing enthusiasm that I continue to spear-head the Build Milwaukee Initiative which will create 11,000 jobs over the next four years.”
