H.O.P.E for Wisconsin Earlier this week, I joined with my Assembly colleagues to approve nine bills aimed at combating the growing opioid epidemic in Wisconsin. These bills were a part of the Special Session on Opioid Abuse which was called by Governor Walker back in January and a continuation of the H.O.P.E. Agenda.
The opioid
epidemic has impacted communities across the 87th Assembly District, just like so many
others in Wisconsin. Far too many Wisconsinites have seen the
lives of friends and loved ones cut short because of addiction.
While this package continues the great progress Wisconsin has made over
the past few years more work remains to be done. In the weeks and
months ahead I am committed to continue working with
my colleagues, medical experts, law enforcement, and other advocates to
find new ways to help those suffering from addiction to get the help they
need. Learning Your Thoughts on the State Budget
Thank you to everyone who attended my one of my four recent budget listening sessions. It was a privilege to spend the day hearing my constituents thoughts about what the state's spending priorities should be for the next two years. The feedback I received will allow me to better advocate for the people of the 87th District as the state budget works through the legislative process. If you have been unable to attend any of my previous listening sessions there will be two more opportunities for you to share your thoughts in April. On April 17th I will hold a budget listening session from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM in Medford and the following day I will be in Spooner at the Joint Committee on Finance's public hearing on the state budget. Please see below for more information.

I also had the opportunity to visit with Cadet Austin Boggs from Glen Flora whom I am honored to mentor as a part of this outstanding program. I am proud of his accomplishments so far and pleased to have the opportunity to show him around the State Capitol.
Polish Delegation
Welcomed in Madison
On Monday, I was honored to join Senator Jerry Petrowski and Representative Ken Skowronski in welcoming
a delegation
from Lublin, Poland to the State Capitol. Lublin, Poland is the sister
city of the Village of Lublin in Taylor County. During their visit, the
delegation met with Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch and Department of
Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection Secretary Ben Brancel. I thank Chris Kulinski from Lublin, WI and Senator
Petrowski for organizing the visit.

Athens Elementary
A few weeks ago, I had the chance to spend some time with
the 4th-grade students at Athens Elementary and talk to then about my
job as their State Representative and what is all involved in making a
bill into a law. I want to thank these great kids and their teacher Mr.
Todd Diethelm for welcoming me into their classroom!
