Our community was recognized in the Wisconsin Department of Tourism's 'Fun Times' insert, which ran in the Milwaukee and Chicago markets last Sunday! The article featured events such as the Badger State Games, Winter Fest and the Leinenkugel's Classic Pond Hockey Tournament.

Additionally, the article mentions numerous other fun activities in our community including tubing at Sylvan Hill Park; ice fishing on Lake Wausau; and cross country skiing at Nine Mile County Forest Recreation Area. Other honorable mentions include candlelight snowshoe hikes at Rib Mountain State Park; snowmobiling; and skiing or snowboarding on Rib Mountain.

Lastly, the article advertises the indoor activities in our community like the Sawmill Adventure Park, the water park at the Grand Lodge or our art museums. Whether you like indoor or outdoor activities, there is one thing in the article that we can all agree on: Wausau is awesome in winter!
