Other things to know: 

  • Utility Bills: The WI Public Service Commission has directed water, electric, and natural gas utilities to cease disconnecting residential service for nonpayment until the state public emergency has been lifted.
  • Internet: News of several providers waiving fees and providing resources has been announced - check with your local provider to see what options may be available. Also Charter Spectrum announced they will be offering free broadband and wifi to families with K-12 and college students who do not already have access. To enroll call 1.844.488.8395. TDS is doing the same
  • Price Gouging & Scams: Wisconsin's price gouging laws prohibit the sale of consumer goods or services at prices more than 15% higher than pre-emergency prices. Report suspected price gouging and scams to the WI Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection online, by email, or by calling their hotline at (800) 422-7128
