I am honored to continue serving the 81st Assembly District for the 2019-2020 legislative session!

The People's Budget
On February 28, Governor Evers introduced The People's Budget. The proposal includes historic provisions for education, and will benefit both K-12 students and higher education. Bonding to replace lead pipes and combat water pollution is crucial to providing clean drinking water for all Wisconsinites. I am especially excited to see our crumbling roads and infrastructure restored through transportation investments. Additionally, the budget proposal accepts federal funding for Medicaid expansion in order to give people greater access to affordable, quality healthcare. I look forward to working with my colleagues to address the issues Wisconsin faces and pass a budget in a timely manner.
Daniel D. Busch Memorial Highway

Last month I introduced legislation that would honor a local hero, Staff Sergeant (SSG) Daniel D. Busch. A portion of State Highway 33 would be renamed in honor of SSG Busch's heroism and service to our country. While serving in Mogadishu on Oct. 3, 1993, SSG Busch sustained a fatal wound while holding off enemy forces to ensure the survival of his fellow team members. It is my honor to help memorialize SSG Busch through Assembly Bill 77. AB 77 will receive a public hearing during the Assembly Committee on Transportation Tuesday, March 26 at 1:30 p.m. in room 413 North in the State Capitol. Click here to learn more about SSG Busch.
