A proud Wisconsin native, Dave Considine was born in Janesville and raised in North Prairie.  After attending Mukwonago High School, Dave earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater.  He also holds a Master of Arts in Education from Viterbo University.

Dave and his wife Gretchen have resided in the Baraboo Bluffs and the Town of Caledonia for over 40 years. They have raised five children on their farm and enjoy sharing it with their thirteen grandchildren.  In addition to owning and maintaining their farm as conservation land, they have been active community members in Baraboo and the surrounding area for many years.

For 29 years, Dave served as a teacher at Jack Young Middle School in the Baraboo School District, retiring in 2014 to run for State Assembly.  He is currently in his fifth term as State Representative for the 81st District.

As an educator, association leader, steward of the land, outdoorsman, hunter, trainer in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, nationally recognized dairy goat judge, singer, and track coach, Dave has experience with a wide variety of areas and interests.  Thanks to this breadth of experience, Dave is a true collaborator who understands and appreciates many perspectives.

In the Assembly, he strives to find consensus through a common-sense approach to policymaking.  He believes government should be about neighbors and friends working together to protect the values we all share: honesty, hard work, and cooperation.  He is committed to building and maintaining educational and health care opportunities for all Wisconsinites; providing responsible access to our precious natural resources, especially in the beautiful 81st District; and fostering family-supporting jobs powered by local ideas and people.
