Representative Lisa Subeck Appointed to Leadership Position for National Organization

August 29, 2016

(ALEXANDRIA, VA) – Representative Lisa Subeck has been selected to serve in leadership for the nation’s oldest non-partisan organization addressing the needs of elected women at all levels of government.

Representative Subeck was recently appointed to serve as the 2016-2017 Wisconsin State Director for the National Foundation for Women Legislators (NFWL).

"The National Foundation for Women Legislators and its members have helped me become a better legislator. I am honored to accept a leadership role in this organization to help inspire and empower women legislators. I look forward to encouraging other women legislators in Wisconsin to participate in NFWL activities to strengthen their skills and become more effective leaders,” said Subeck.

Elected women from across the country will gather in Orlando, Florida from November 16-20, for NFWL’s 2016 Annual Conference to identify effective solutions to some of the nation’s most timely and pressing issues. Providing a non-partisan environment that encourages dialogue and the sharing of information and experiences, women leaders are able to build coalitions, share the concerns of their constituents, and identify out-of-the-box solutions to the most pressing issues facing their communities today.

“We are so proud Representative Subeck has accepted a leadership position in our Foundation,” stated Delaware State Representative Helene Keeley, NFWL’s 2016 Chair. “She will play a key role in aiding women legislators in Wisconsin state lines, as we grow as an organization.”

Subeck begins serving in her new position immediately, and will hold this office through the 2017 year.
