MADISON – Representative Lisa Subeck (D-Madison) was named a Friend of Family Medicine by the Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians. The Friend of Family Medicine designation is given to legislators who worked to promote effective health care policy during the legislative session.

“I am honored to be recognized by the Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians as a Friend of Family Medicine,” said Representative Lisa Subeck. “Improving access and quality of healthcare has been a priority for me in the legislature.”

Representative Subeck served as a member of the Assembly Committee on Health where she worked to help pass the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact, this session’s Heroin, Opioid, Prevention, and Education bills (HOPE), and the establishment of the behavioral coordination care grant.

“As a member of the Health Committee this session, I enjoyed working on a wide range of health policy,” said Rep. Subeck. “I will continue to work for effective health care policy and remain committed to ensuring Wisconsinites have access to quality and affordable health care.”
