Rep. Taylor Calls on Public Officials to Condemn Hate-Fueled Violence

MADISON – Last week, several hate-fueled acts of violence around the country served as a reminder of the real-world impact of hateful rhetoric. In response, Rep. Taylor (D-Madison) issued the following statement:

“From pipe bombs sent to prominent figures in the Democratic Party, to two African Americans shot in a grocery store, to 11 people gunned down in a synagogue, it truly has been a horrific week in our country. This violence needs to be condemned by every single elected official. It is becoming more and more apparent that hateful rhetoric inspires hateful acts. President Trump needs to stop his hateful targeting of communities and work to unify the country.”
