I’m excited about the future of paper mills in Wisconsin and the meaningful impact they will continue to have on our communities throughout the state. Following unanimous support from my colleagues in the Assembly Committee on Forestry, Parks and Outdoor Recreation earlier this week, and tremendous bipartisan support from the entire state assembly during Thursday’s session (96 yes-2 no), I am excited for my colleagues in the senate to approve this bipartisan legislation that offers an opportunity for our communities to prosper, and send it to Governor Evers to sign in to law.

Heroes live among us. You may have heard of the scare I had last January. Inauguration Day sure didn’t go as planned but thanks to these two and their team at Gundersen Moundview Hospital and Clinics, I’ll be around to actually attend the next inauguration. Thank you Dr. Christy Short and RN Bobbi Meyer!!! It was an honor to be able to present you with a Citation from the Assembly.
