Beware of Fake Job Scammers

If you are seeking employment through online methods you should beware of job scammers who ultimately want your personal or financial information. These scam artists use Google Hangout, message boards, classified ad sites and unsolicited emails to post fake jobs, conduct interviews and make job offers to victims. Avoid Rabies & Legal Issues

Did you know it was World Rabies Day yesterday, September 28, 2017? Did you know cats are the most common rabid domestic animal reported in Wisconsin? Learn more interesting facts and how to avoid this deadly, infectious, viral disease and its legal implications  for you and your pets here. Don't forget to download a coloring book to teach children about rabies too!

 


 In Progress Legislation

On Monday we began the circulation of my Harvest for Hope bill to gain co-sponsorships. This bill recognizes that literally tons of produce remain on fields throughout Wisconsin while many state food banks are clamoring for more fresh produce to distribute. The bill would help create a network of growers and distributors who can deliver this excess produce to the area food processors and ultimately to area food pantries.

 

 

      What's New

Governor Scott Walker appointed former Wisconsin State Assembly Representative Dan Meyer of Eagle River to serve as secretary of the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) on Monday, September 25, 2017. Learn more about Dan Meyer and his excellent qualifications.

Below you will find a few events happening in the area. 

 

What: Coloma Fall Fest 2017

Where: Coloma, WI

The annual Coloma Fall Fest is tomorrow, Saturday, September 30. The day-long festivities begin with a 5K Run/Walk to benefit Jamie Kilbey at 10 a.m., registration at 9 a.m. Registration for the popular bag tournament is at noon and a Duct Tape Fashion Show starts at 2 p.m. Enjoy contests for best salsa, dessert and BBQ or a Beer and Wine Walk to Coloma businesses. Other activities include raffles, sidewalk chalk drawing and yoga. There is plenty of fun and good food for everyone!
