Wisconsin's First Managed Elk Hunt 

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has announced that 2018 will mark the first managed elk hunt in state history.  Thanks to the conservation efforts of many partners, the elk population in the original Clam Lake herd has grown to levels that biologists feel can support a very limited bull elk hunt. Bonus Spring Turkey Harvest 

Bonus Spring Turkey harvest authorizations go on sale March 19th.  Over 100,000 bonus harvest authorizations are available, and can be purchased online through GoWild or at any license agent.
 


Wisconsin Broadcasting Association Foundation Accepting 2018 Grant Applications

Non-profit colleges and technical schools are encouraged to apply for a grant to assist in purchasing teaching materials, equipment, hardware and/or software for their school broadcast education programs. The goal is to support broadcast education and promote careers in broadcasting. Applications are due Friday, April 20, 2018, in the WBA Foundation office located at 44 East Mifflin Street, Suite 900, Madison, WI, 53703. Grants will be awarded late July.

A very special congratulations to Tiffany Ringer who was recently appointed Register of Deeds for Wood County! She will be taking care of Deeds & Mortgages, Land Contracts, Uniform Commercial Code Filings, Conditional Sales Contracts, Bill of Sales and more. I know she is going to do great in her new position.
