STEVENS POINT — Local legislators will hold a listening session Friday pertaining to proposed budget changes that affect long-term care in Wisconsin.

Gov. Scott Walker’s budget bill calls for changes to long-term care and programs for seniors and people with disabilities, including IRIS, FamilyCare, SeniorCare, managed care organizations and aging and disability resource centers. Community members and families who will be affected by the changes are invited to join Sen. Julie Lassa and Rep. Katrina Shankland to share their stories and concerns.

The listening session will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the Lincoln Center, 1519 Water St., Stevens Point.
