A community open forum on proposed cuts to the University of Wisconsin System will be offered at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Feb. 19. It is sponsored by the Student Government Association and hosted by state Rep. Katrina Shankland (D-Stevens Point).
 
The forum will be held at 5 p.m. in Room 221 of the Noel Fine Arts Center. Shankland will field questions, comments and concerns from students and members of the community.
 
The Student Government Association also will host three student forums to provide non-partisan information. A panel of students will address questions and concerns. The first is at 6 p.m. Saturday in the Dreyfus University Center Laird Room. Others are at 4 p.m. Monday in the Laird Room, and at 6 p.m. Feb. 23 in the Dreyfus University Center Theater.
