Christmas Tree Legislation Signed into Law Today, Governor Walker signed AB 648 (2015 Wisconsin Act 333) into law, clarifying a provision in the state fire code that that caused confusion regarding natural Christmas Trees in places of assembly; including places of worship and the State Capitol building. Wisconsin adheres to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1 fire code. Section 10.13 of the code governs combustible vegetation, including live, natural cut Christmas Trees.
