Back to School

I hope you enjoyed the first week for many schools. Even if you don’t have children currently enrolled in Wisconsin schools, I’m sure you’ve felt the impact of education on our community. That’s why I’m proud to have voted for record education funding and while I’ll continue to support education options for students at every level.

Adoption Task Force Wraps Up Meetings
On Wednesday, the Adoption Task Force I serve on wrapped up its final hearing. We’re now preparing bipartisan legislation to make adoption easier to navigate and affordable for families.

Talking about the UW

On Wednesday, I had the opportunity to meet with leaders from across the state about my Open and Accessible UW bill package. It was great to see former UW System regent and current member of Congress Bryan Steil (WI-1) and reconnect with my friend Leah Vukmir.

I live in Greenville, but have an office at the State Capitol in Madison. If you are in downtown Madison, please feel free to stop by and say hello! Just go to the information desk in the rotunda, and they can direct you on how to find my office, 318 North. At the bottom of each e-update, you'll see my office contact information.

If your school or group plans to tour the Capitol building, please let me know in advance. I'd love to visit with you for a few minutes and take a group photo.
