Welcome Home, Honor Flight! |

Assembly in Gene's honor***
From left to right: Representative Dave Murphy, Gene Vande Loo,
Lola Vande Loo, and Doris Vande Loo
I had the honor to greet Gene Vande Loo and other members of the
Honor Flight at the Outagamie County Airport. Gene is a veteran
of the Korean War and traveled on this Honor Flight with his brother, Victor Vande Loo,
who also served in the Korean War. Gene's daughter, Doris, serves
in the Wisconsin Assembly Chief Clerk's office.
Attending an Honor Flight to cheer on our veterans with their
families and loved ones is truly one of the most rewarding
things you can be a part of. If you want to donate, sponsor, or
volunteer with the Honor Flight Network,

Helping a Veteran and
Neighbor in Need |

Jerry Monson is a veteran and constituent of the 56th district.
His mobile home was destroyed during a weatherizing project. Jerry is trying to replace his home, but continues to run into
more bureaucratic hurdles with the City of Appleton. Senator Roth and I visited Jerry to
hear his story and find out how we can help. |
Community Service with the
Greenville Lions |
I (far right in the Badger cap) got to help remodel a
house owned by the local VFW with my friends in the Greenville Lions
Club.
The home will be used for housing veterans in need. |
Visiting the Point Beach
Nuclear Power Plant |
Several of my colleagues and I (center, green
shirt) visited the
Point Beach Nuclear Power Plant in Two Rivers to learn about how
nuclear energy is used in Wisconsin. It was great to learn about
this safe, reliable, and low-cost producer of energy for our
state. |

Welcome!
I live in Greenville, but have an
office at the State Capitol in Madison. If you are in
downtown Madison, please feel free to stop by and say
hello! Just go to the information desk in the rotunda,
and they can direct you on how to find my office, 318
North. At the bottom of each e-update, you'll see my
office contact information.
If your school or group plans to tour the Capitol
building, please let me know in advance. I'd
love to visit with you for a few minutes and take a
group photo.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve you.
