Working for you!

A Conversation with Regent Tim Higgins: Part 2

I'll be using my e-updates to highlight constituents of the 56th District and give you the opportunity to learn about some of the dedicated public servants we have in our own community. In one of my last e-updates, I included the first part of my conversation with Regent Tim Higgins. This video is the second of three parts.

Tim is a constituent of the 56th District and serves on the UW Board of Regents. In this video, we talked about the the work that Tim does as a Regent and the UW budget.

***Note: The video was filmed before the budget was completed.***

Welcome to the Appleton International Airport

The Outagamie County Regional Airport has a new name: Appleton International Airport. The airport is already a major economic driver for our community and the new brand will make the airport more recognizable beyond our region. The customs station will be finished in about a month, which will allow the Appleton International Airport to take in private aircraft and cargo from outside the country. I had the opportunity to attend an unveiling event today.

See the Airport's new look for yourself and attend the Appleton International Airport Open House:

When: Saturday, August 22nd 10:00am to 2:00pm

Where: Appleton International Airport, W6390 Challenger Drive, Greenville (Click here for directions)

The community is invited to look at aircraft and vehicle displays. The event will include free popcorn, hot dogs and ice cream. There will also be drawing for five sets of two plane tickets donated by Allegiant Air, Delta Airlines and United Airlines. Four of those sets will go to those who enter an online contest at http://atwairport.com/. The fifth set will be drawn from those who enter at the open house.

Welcome!

I live in Greenville, but have an office at the State Capitol in Madison. If you are in downtown Madison, please feel free to stop by and say hello! Just go to the information desk in the rotunda, and they can direct you on how to find my office, 318 North. At the bottom of each e-update, you'll see my office contact information.

If your school or group plans to tour the Capitol building, please let me know in advance. I'd love to visit with you for a few minutes and take a group photo.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you.
