Addressing the Needs of Our
Homeless Community Members |
Last month the Assembly adopted legislation
addressing the issue of homelessness in Wisconsin. As a next
step, Representative Steineke invited legislators to attend a
tour and roundtable discussion in Appleton on this important
topic.
I was deeply moved by the (In)Visible
display at Appleton History Museum and the stories shared with
us at the Fox Valley Technical College roundtable. |
Letting Families Decide |
I’m cosponsoring
Assembly Bill 260 with Representative Wichgers, which would
let a family choose a chiropractor to provide a school district
mandated physical for participation in athletics.
I believe families should be
able to make decisions about who they see for their health care
needs and I’m pleased that this week the bill was passed by the Assembly Committee on Health. |
Winneconne FFA Visits
Madison |
It was great to see members of the
Winneconne FFA and chat with them about the importance of
agricultural education.
When they asked me about my favorite animal
I had to choose the Holstein, the cow that gave so much to the
family farm I grew up on, including our own brand of ice cream!

Welcome!
I live in Greenville, but have an
office at the State Capitol in Madison. If you are in
downtown Madison, please feel free to stop by and say
hello! Just go to the information desk in the rotunda,
and they can direct you on how to find my office, 318
North. At the bottom of each e-update, you'll see my
office contact information.
If your school or group plans to tour the Capitol
building, please let me know in advance. I'd
love to visit with you for a few minutes and take a
group photo.
