The Outagamie County Regional Airport has a new
name: Appleton International Airport. The airport is already a
major economic driver for our community and the new brand will
make the airport more recognizable beyond our region. The customs
station will be finished in about a month, which will allow the
Appleton International Airport to take in private aircraft and
cargo from outside the country. I had the opportunity to attend
an unveiling event today.
See the Airport's new look for yourself and
attend the Appleton International Airport Open House:
When: Saturday, August 22nd 10:00am to 2:00pm
Where: Appleton International Airport, W6390
Challenger Drive, Greenville (Click
here for directions)
The community is invited to look at aircraft and
vehicle displays. The event will include free popcorn, hot dogs
and ice cream. There will also be drawing for five sets of two
plane tickets donated by Allegiant Air, Delta Airlines and
United Airlines. Four of those sets will go to those who enter
an online contest at
http://atwairport.com/. The fifth set will be drawn from
those who enter at the open house.
